As an estrogen-having woman (some may say I'm even more hormonal than the norm) I've always had a bit of a vampire fetish.

The vampire-romance ideology is not a hard one to comprehend. Whether you crave the unbridled passion, the fantasy element, or the excitement of danger and being completely dominated, the vampire world gives us entrance to a whole new erotica: and perhaps a hidden part of ourselves.

Chances are none of us are going to find our vampire lover at the corner bar, but we can embrace the dark side in fabulous little ways. CW's The Vampire Diaries is the latest in a line of super-popular series revolving around the vampire phenomenon, and a lot of the attention has been directed toward the hairstyles of the demonic cast.

I tapped celebrity stylist Randa Squillacote and she shared some great tips on how to recreate some of the hairy-good looks. Randa uses her favorite line, White Sands, to create these looks, but similar products from any line would work just as well.

Nina has medium thickness and a natural wavy pattern to start. To achieve this look:

1. Shampoo and condition hair with White Sands Vegan Volumizing Shampoo and Volumizing Conditioner for a clean canvas.

2. Blow dry hair with a large round brush, spraying sections with White Sands Liquid Texture Medium Hold for its thermal protection and color enhancers. This technique creates volume and shine with just a round brush in hand.

3. Using White Sands Liquid Texture Firm Hold, flat iron hair in sections starting at the crown and lift straight up. Turn iron slightly at the middle of each hair strand to the ends for a slight bend and beautiful wave. Iron all hair sections in the same direction and let hair cool.

4. Brush and finger comb in place and spray with White Sands Infinity Finishing Spray.
