The Academy Awards red carpet arrivals are full of glitz and glamor! Celebrities are known show up in their absolute best, and thanks to the end of the writer's strike, we were not disappointed this year. If all the world is a stage, the Oscar's red carpet is the Broadway of beauty!
This year the celebrities not only had beautifully styled hair, but many hair styles are wearable and creatable by the average woman! Here I count down my top five wearable styles from the red carpet and give you tips for recreating these looks at home.
Katherine Heigl's big bouncy curls with beautifully swept bangs gave a fantastic old hollywood glamorous look to the red carpet. I loved how her curls swept out, exposing her stunning facial features.
Want to recreate this look? Use big hot rollers. Wash and dry your hair using a volumizing gel or mousse prior to drying. Roll the hair on hot rollers, rolling the hair away from your face. After your rollers cool, remove, shake your head upside down while applying a medium to firm holding hairspray. Use your fingers to separate the curls as necessary. Then smooth and shape your style, sweeping the bangs upward!
