I'm Sorry, What Year is This?
Thursday May 7, 2009
I guess when I think of "Material Girl", this isn't exactly the modern vision in my head. It might have been cool to wear lace gloves and balloon skirts 25 years ago, but even in the 80's at least you could use the excuse that "everyone was doing it!" I'm not sure where the inspiration for this creation came from, but just because it says Marc Jacobs by Louis Vuitton on the tag, doesn't mean you have to put it on (or do you?).
But really, in my head the worst faux pas in this entire hot mess is the hair. Sure, you can make a bad outfit mistake, wear hideous boots up to... well, all the way up to there... and you can let your bra hang out and get away with it, Madonna. Because, you're ARE Madonna, after all. But what on earth is going on with that hair? Is that a scrunchie gone horribly wrong? What is that? I'm honestly at a loss for words (I know, I know, first time for everything). So, what do you think? Bold and daring, big mistake, or do you love it?

I completely agree! yes Madonna has said the world is a stage and I am sure all that she does publicly is for show to her. But this was a bad show my friend. The MET Gala is all about being bold and Daring with Fashion, but seriously is should at least be good. it seemed to me like she was mocking the event by wearing such trash, because she could. Someone a little high on themselves?? Too me she is becoming irreverent. Her music will always be iconic, but she is aging and she needs to get over trying to be considered young. Though hole young boy toy is so 90’s. Finding a sexy man age appropriate, is way cooler. Time to grow up Madge.
