Stacked Haircuts: What Hair Type is Best?

By September 10, 2008

Follow me on:

I've been doing a lot of stacked bob haircuts in the salon lately. Photos of bobs, and especially stacked bobs (where the layers are shorter in the back and longer in the front) are by far my most popular pages here at About.com. The bob is a popular cut, for sure, but I am often asked if a person can wear a bob if their hair is very thin, or very thick?

Stacked Bob Haircut Absolutely to both!

Women with very thick hair may need to have their hair thinned out in order for the style to not look overly large and poofy. Styling with a flat iron and a smoothing serum (like Sexy Hair's Frizz Eliminator) may be desirable to keep the fullness to a minimum.

Women with very thin hair can also wear a stacked haircut. Minimal texturizing may be necessary to give the style some lift at the crown of the head. I recommend that women with thin hair and a stacked bob learn to blow out their hair with a roundbrush to give the style fullness and lift. It's also important to find the right volumizing products that won't weigh your hair down (I recommend CHI's Volume Boost).

Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think
about worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having
side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be back
to get more. Thanks

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic nevertheless I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest
authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My site discusses a lot of the same topics as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other.

If you are interested feel free to shoot me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you! Awesome blog by the way!

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words
in your post seem to be running off the screen in Safari.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let
you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved
soon. Cheers
